Couriers and Deliveries

A Delivery Room is located in the Loading Dock area for all courier deliveries. All courier pick-ups and deliveries will be to and from this location. The building will provide staff to collect material from your tenancy for courier despatch.

The Delivery Room is in operation from 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

When goods arrive at the delivery office we will accept the items on your behalf. The goods are then delivered to your office by the building staff shortly after their arrival.
All items are bar coded so we can trace their movements. We undertake to provide a prompt response for all deliveries and receipts. These procedures are there to improve the security aspect of the building.

Bulk Deliveries
Deliveries larger than 9 kilograms including catering orders are to be made via the loading dock accessible from Phillip Street. The loading dock is controlled by the Dockmaster and is open during normal building hours. The height restriction at the loading dock entrance is 3.6 metres.

There is no parking (other than for pick-up and delivery) available in the dock area. All parking must be pre-arranged by an authorised officer of your company. No movement of bulky or cumbersome items in or out of the building, or within the lifts, is permitted without prior arrangement with the Facilities Manager. We require 24 hours’ notice in writing. After-hours access to the loading dock is by means of intercom communication to Security. An intercom connects the entry and exit points with the Security Room.

Tenants are requested to advise prospective companies delivering goods of the above requirements. All deliveries requiring a dedicated lift, i.e. where several trips between the loading dock and point of delivery will be necessary, should be pre-arranged with your Real Estate Services Team who will advise availability. It is not possible to book the goods lift for bulk deliveries during business hours.

Incoming Deliveries
Hand held packages (up to 9 kilograms in weight) will be delivered by the Delivery Room staff to your designated floor.

For larger packages, Delivery Room staff will contact the designated person in your company and advise them that a large package has arrived. If agreed, the courier will then be directed to deliver the package to your floor. The courier will travel to and return via the goods lift.

Deliveries to tenancies will begin at 7.00am (subject to tenant availability) and continue on frequent intervals during the day until 6.00pm. Every effort will be made to provide a prompt service.

Outgoing Deliveries
For hand held deliveries (up to 9 kilograms in weight) tenants should book their selected courier direct nominating the Delivery Room, located on Basement Level 2, entry off Phillip Street as the pick-up point.
Tenants should then phone the Delivery Room on 02 8222 1622 to have the Delivery Room staff collect the item. Tenants may also deliver the package to the Delivery Room themselves.
Larger packages (above 9 kilograms in weight) must be delivered by the tenant to the Delivery Room on Basement Level 2 using the goods lift.

Barcode Tracking
A barcode audit system is used to track all items processed through the Delivery Room. This system will log the item, tenant, courier and times of pick-up and/or delivery.

Personal Deliveries
The Delivery Room does not take responsibility for personal deliveries such as cakes, floral arrangements, fruit baskets etc. The delivery address for these items are to be to the nominated person care of the tenants’ specific reception or mail room address (as the case may be) not via the Delivery Room.

  • After Hours Deliveries

The Building Management Team, employees, and contractors will not accept delivery of goods on your behalf.

Should after hours deliveries be attempted without prior notification, your representative will be required to attend the appropriate entrance point to accept delivery of the goods. Under no circumstances will an after-hours delivery person or courier be allowed unescorted travel to a tenanted floor.

AED

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

If someone within the building suffers from a sudden cardiac arrest, emergency services should be contacted immediately (call ‘000’). Once emergency services have been notified, the AED device can be used to treat the patient.

A defibrillator is an automated device that delivers an electric shock designed to restart a person’s heart if they have suffered from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). The survival rate for people suffering SCA is between 2% and 5%, which dramatically increases, depending on how quickly a defibrillator is used to restart the person’s heart.

While training is not required for the use of a defibrillator, it is available. If you wish to familiarise yourself with the device and undertake this training, please visit the following link www.defibtech.com.au/education

All FM staff are trained in providing first aid, including the use of defibrillators; however, use of the defibrillator should not be delayed in an attempt to find a first aid trained operator, as this dramatically decreases the survival rate of the patient.

To operate the device, simply take the AED to the patient, and press the green power button. From that point on, the unit will guide the treatment process.
